Ridgefield Aquatic Club Seeks Experienced Full-Time Assistant Coach

In the context of swimming in the US continuing to grow strongly with increasing attention from the community and families, Ridgefield Aquatic Club, a private nonprofit coach-led and parent-supported year-round swimming club, is seeking a Full-Time Assistant Coach position. This is an opportunity for individuals with energy, technical knowledge, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to long-term athlete development. The club serves swimmers from pre-competitive development through national-level training and competes within Connecticut Swimming. Compensation includes an annual base salary of $49,000–$55,000 based on experience, a performance bonus of up to $5,000, a $5,250 annual health-insurance stipend, a $1,200 annual phone allowance, a $1,000 annual retirement contribution, and 14 paid vacation days. The schedule involves weekday afternoons and evenings, meets, weekends, travel, and regular administrative hours, starting as soon as mutually agreed. Key responsibilities include leading assigned competitive and Olympic Way squads and providing coverage across other groups, developing seasonal and daily training plans emphasizing technique and age-appropriate progression, creating a safe positive disciplined environment, attending practices and events, supporting meet logistics, tracking progress, communicating professionally, following safety requirements, collaborating with the head coach, contributing to recruitment and initiatives, and maintaining administrative hours.
